This role is fully onsite in Limerick.
Working 35 hours per week, the successful candidate will be employed as an agency employee and will be paid an hourly rate of 28.04 per hour based on an annualised salary of 51,206.
You will accrue 30 days annual leave per year and paid Bank Holidays.
The post holder will have responsibility for: Designing, implementing, and maintaining robust SQL database systems within a Microsoft environment to support the department's data management needs.
Ensuring the integrity, security, and availability of healthcare data, which is essential for informed decision-making and high-quality patient care.
Developing and optimizing SQL database architectures to enhance performance and scalability.
Ensuring data quality and compliance with regulatory standards, including data protection and privacy laws.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions that improve clinical and operational workflows.
Advancing the department's data analytics capabilities by enabling the extraction of actionable insights to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
Providing comprehensive support for database-related projects, including requirement engineering, documentation, testing, training, go-live planning, ongoing support, and issue resolution.
Identifying, sourcing, and implementing required database applications by aligning with global standards or developing solutions in-house or through external IT partners.
Developing and managing performance monitoring metrics, reporting mechanisms, and review processes to ensure efficient and effective data operations.
Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements related to data management and monitoring.
Supporting service managers in leading organizational change to drive benefits from database and ICT investments.
Managing and reporting on database projects with strong interdependencies with other agencies and organizations.
Essential Eligibility Criteria, Qualifications and /or experience required.
Candidates must have: Significant experience in database engineering in a large, complex organization with multiple stakeholders.
Proven track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining robust SQL database systems within a Microsoft environment.
Experience in optimizing database performance and ensuring data integrity, security, and availability.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions that enhance clinical and operational workflows.
Strong analytical skills and experience in advancing data analytics capabilities to extract actionable insights.
An appropriate 3rd level qualification (at least university degree level 8 or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, or a related field is desirable.
Possess the requisite knowledge, skills, and attributes to discharge the technical and administrative functions of the post.
Essential skills, competencies and /or knowledge Demonstrate: Extensive knowledge and experience in delivering high-quality data services.
Proven expertise in data engineering, including data modelling, ETL processes, and database management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data integrity and accuracy.
Experience in strategic planning and managing data projects, including delegating tasks and optimizing resources.
Excellent planning and organizational skills, with an emphasis on resource management, cost-effectiveness, and achieving quality outcomes.
Exceptional interpersonal skills: ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and internal and external stakeholders.
Commitment to improving data governance through standardization of procedures, rules, and plans.
Experience in vendor management and ensuring compliance with data standards.
Proficiency in ICT and report writing, with a focus on data analysis and visualization.
Experience managing data projects in multi-organizational environments.
Understanding of Policies and Procedures related data.
Strong knowledge of mobile technology and emerging data technologies.
Proficiency in data-related tools and platforms, such as SQL, Python, and data visualization tools.
Experience with SAP Financials/SAP HR is a plus.
Experience providing HR support related to data management.
