General Operative

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment where you will help ensure products are manufactured, packed, and dispatched under strict hygiene and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities Work on a production line: prepping raw materials, processing, packing, wrapping, labelling, etc.
Operate and assist with production machinery (where applicable) following safe operating procedures.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene & safety (e.g.
HACCP, GMP) throughout all tasks.
Perform manual handling tasks: lifting, carrying, stacking, palletising.
Clean and sanitise production areas, equipment, and workstations as per schedule.
Meet daily/weekly production targets and quality standards.
Collaborate with quality control, supervisors, and other team members.
Adhere to company health & safety policies, wearing required PPE.
Requirements Some previous experience in food production or a similar food/manufacturing environment Good physical fitness; the role is physically demanding.
Reliable work ethic, punctual, positive "can-do" attitude.
Ability to follow instructions, attention to detail especially for quality control.
Willingness to work in chilled / cold areas (if required).
Flexibility: early starts/late finishes, shift work, sometimes weekends, depending on production demands.
Basic communication in English (for instructions, safety, etc.).
