Role: General Operative Salary: €28,000 - €30,000 Duration: Full-time Location: North Dublin Hours: Monday-Friday 09:00-17:30 General Operative Leading freight company in North Dublin is currently seeking to add an experienced General operative to its team. This is a full-time position that offers an immediate start, weekly pay, and the opportunity to progress from a temporary to a permanent role for the right candidate. In this role, you will be responsible for operating both Reach and Counterbalance forklifts to support daily warehouse operations. Your main duties will include replenishing stock from high racking locations, storing pallets in designated areas as directed by the goods-in team, and assisting with the loading of completed orders for dispatch as part of the outbound process. You will be expected to operate the forklifts with confidence ensuring a smooth and safe workflow throughout the warehouse. In addition to your forklift duties, you will take part in general warehouse tasks such as picking and packing orders for dispatch and collection. You will work closely with the wider warehouse team and conduct tasks as directed by warehouse management to support the overall operations. Responsibilities: Safely operate both Counterbalance forklifts and Reach trucks to support day-to-day warehouse activities. Adhere strictly to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company guidelines. Accurately pick, assemble, and pack customer orders, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Receive, inspect, and verify incoming deliveries for accuracy, quantity, and damage. Ensure all inventory is correctly labelled, stored, and recorded in the warehouse system. Assist with stock replenishment, inventory counts, and general warehouse upkeep as required. Requirements: Valid Counterbalance forklift license is essential. Up-to-date Manual Handling certificate preferred Valid Reach truck forklift necessary Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment. Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy in all tasks.
