Job Title: Sales Manager Salary: € 40k + Bonus Location: Cork City/ North East Cork Ref: S011815 Benefits: Company pension Flexitime Sick pay Description of Role: Our client,a leading supplier of Consumer accessories including Personal, Stationery and Household products to the grocery market with over 8000 customers in Ireland and UK.
Established in 1994, their product portfolio contains over 1000 products including over 300 own brand products as well as market leading brand products.
They have 60 full time employees in addition to part time staff.
We are looking to recruit an Sales manager who will manage and develop a well-established Customer base.
The successful applicant should possess recent FMCG field sales experience with ideally a proven record in selling to independent retailers.
They will need to be proactive and highly motivated with excellent communication and presentation skills.
Requirements: Commercially astute and able to drive business performance.
Ability to manage a high-performance sales team.
Strong track record of achieving sales and profit targets.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills essential, ability to adapt to a range of audiences.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Point 3 years of experience in Key Account and or National Account management preferable.
Experience in the FMCG sector and working with large chain retailers in Ireland.
Key Duties & Responsibilities: Business Development of targeted Ireland national accounts in the FMCG sector.
Full Ownership of contract negotiations, relationship, execution and KPIs for assigned accounts.
Management of the Joint Business Planning process ensuring business objectives are jointly owned and exceeded.
Develop strong relationships within your customers business.
Develop trade and channel marketing plans specific to your customers in line the with the Ireland business plan.
Manage account budgets ensuring spend in line with agreed objectives and contractual obligations.
Forecasting accurately using data analysis to identify risks and opportunities.
