Purpose of Position: The National College of Ireland (NCI) is seeking a motivated and forward-thinking Senior EU Deliverables Coordinator to join its Cloud Competency Centre (CCC).

The role involves the coordination of deliverables, financial management, and administrative support for a portfolio of EU-funded research and innovation projects.

As an EU Deliverables Coordinator, you will collaborate with partners across Europe to oversee student success, produce high-quality deliverables, manage project finances, and ensure successful execution of multiple EU projects.

As EU Deliverables Coordinator, you will collaborate with academic and industry partners across Europe to ensure the production of high-quality project deliverables, support the preparation of new funding proposals, maintain financial oversight, and contribute to the overall success and sustainability of the Centre's research activities.

The CCC is a research centre at the forefront of innovation in high-performance computing, parallel and distributed systems, open data, and distributed ledger technologies.

Key Relationships: The Senior Deliverables Coordinator will work closely with: CCC Head CCC Principal Investigators and Staff of different EU-funded projects CCC EU Project Manager Grant Finance Officer School of Computing staff External academic and industry partners involved in CCC projects Director of Finance Key Responsibilities: The Senior EU Deliverables Coordinator will be responsible for: Coordinating and monitoring project deliverables across multiple EU-funded initiatives.

Managing project documentation, including Grant Agreements, Consortium Agreements, and amendments.

Preparing and submitting detailed technical and financial reports in compliance with EU requirements for internal management and funder reporting.

Liaising with internal finance officers to track project expenditures and ensure cost eligibility, accurate forecasting, and timely reporting.

Create and review CCC purchase orders and reports and processing claims for project-related assets, activities, travel, and reimbursements.

Organising and delivering CCC project events, plenary meetings, and workshops.

Conceiving and contributing to the design and drafting of innovative new research proposals in collaboration with academic staff and partners, ensuring alignment with EU funding priorities (e.g., Horizon Europe, Digital Europe, CEF).

Monitoring EU funding calls and supporting bid preparation processes by identifying suitable opportunities and preparing relevant supporting documentation.

Qualifications and Experience required: The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications and experience: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, with a strong foundation in finance, budgeting, and/or business administration.

At least 2 years of experience working within higher education or research-intensive environments.

Proven ability to write and review formal deliverables and financial documentation for funded research projects.

Demonstrated experience supporting EU-funded projects throughout the full lifecycle, including pre-award and post-award phases.

Familiarity with EU financial regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, Digital Europe).

Excellent digital skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaborative platforms such as Share Point, Google Drive, or One Drive.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across culturally diverse teams in an international environment.

Availability for occasional international travel as required.

Proven ability to manage competing deadlines and balance multiple administrative and research support tasks.

Experience in identifying funding opportunities and supporting the development of successful funding proposals for research or innovation projects.

Salary: 53,812 per annum (Academic I salary band) Annual Leave: 34 days Contract: 36-month full-time fixed-term contract (commencing 1st September 2025 or shortly thereafter) Probation: 6-month performance-based probation period Visa: If you are from a country that is outside the European Economic Area (the EU, plus Norway, Iceland and Lichtenstein), the UK or Switzerland, you need permission to work in Ireland and must possess a valid working Visa to apply for this position.
