Job Title: Senior Payroll Executive Location: Hybrid working, 3 days in the Limerick city office Contract Type: Permanent Job Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Payroll Executive to join our Finance & Payroll team.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end payroll process for the temporary agency staff, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will also play a key role in process improvement, statutory reporting and supporting payroll-related projects across the organisation.
Main Duties & Responsibilities: End-to-End Payroll Process Support Assist the Payroll Manager in overseeing the full payroll cycle, from timesheets and gross pay calculations to final payroll runs, reporting, and post-payroll activities.
Ensure deadlines are met across all stages of the payroll process for weekly, fortnightly and monthly runs.
Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, Recruitment, Services & Operations, and HR) to ensure all data inputs and approvals are received on time and are accurate.
Identify potential risks or bottlenecks in the payroll process and flag them to the Payroll Manager with proposed solutions.
Support business continuity and act as deputy in managing payroll processing in the Payroll Manager's absence.
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure payroll is compliant with Revenue requirements.
Support audits (internal and external) and provide necessary documentation.
Systems and Data Management: Assist the Payroll Manager in the maintenance and development of payroll software and systems.
Collaborate with IT or third-party vendors to resolve system issues.
Team Support: Support and mentor junior payroll administrators.
Act as first point of escalation for payroll queries.
Process Improvement: Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.
Assist the Payroll Manager with project work (e.g., system upgrades, implementing new legislation changes, increment & payscale changes).
Client Account Management (Payroll-Focused) Act as the Payroll Account Liaison for key clients, ensuring their specific payroll requirements, reporting formats, and service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Support the delivery of client-specific payroll reports, invoicing files, or reconciliations as required.
Handle day-to-day client payroll queries professionally and escalate complex matters to the Payroll Manager where appropriate.
Maintain a client-focused service ethos, ensuring SLAs are met and expectations managed effectively.
Attend occasional client calls or meetings with the Recruitment Consultants or Payroll Manager to support payroll-related discussions.
Salary & Benefits: €45,000 - €55,000 (negotiable depending on experience).
