Job Title: Fabrication Supervisor - Cental Major Project Location: Cental Engineering, Carlow (with site travel) Reports to: Project Manager & Build Manager Liaises with: Welding & Fabrication Teams, QA/QC, Planning, Safety, Stores, Electrical Supervisor Purpose: To lead the fabrication and assembly of steel modular structures and associated pipework/systems for the Cental Major Data Centre project in line with quality, safety, and delivery of expectations.
Key Responsibilities: Supervise fabrication workflow and modular assembly activities from steel preparation through to completed unit handover to electrical fit-out.
Coordinate daily team activity, assigning resources to meet output requirements while managing bottlenecks and rework.
Monitor progress against production plan and proactively escalate risks.
Ensure all works are carried out per fabrication drawings, weld procedures, and project specifications.
Maintain and update the fabrication Monday board and ensure Tier 1 meeting effectiveness.
Verify and sign off dimensional checks and weld inspections prior to QA review.
Ensure full compliance with Centals safety procedures, particularly for hot works, confined space and lifting operations.
Drive continuous improvement mindset on the floor productivity, layout, tooling, 5 S.
Key Requirements: Minimum 5 years experience in a fabrication supervisory role (modular, industrial or structural steel background preferred).
Strong blueprint and fabrication drawing interpretation.
Proven ability to manage teams to tight deadlines while maintaining quality and safety.
Familiarity with ISO welding standards, inspection protocols, and NCR processes.
Excellent communicator and problem solver.
