Solicitor / Litigation Counter Fraud, Belfast Competitive salary + benefits | Hybrid working | Excellent progression opportunities Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced litigation professional to join a growing, industry-leading Counter Fraud department.

This role offers the chance to work on high-quality, complex cases, making a real impact in the fight against fraudulent claims.

The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload, provide strategic legal advice, and play a key role in identifying and investigating potential fraud.

This is an ideal role for someone passionate about litigation, fraud detection, and delivering excellent client service.

Key Responsibilities Manage a varied caseload of litigated County and High Court matters, primarily on an hourly rate basis Draft court documents, applications, instructions to Counsel, and settlement offers Investigate and identify potential fraud using intelligence and forensic analysis Provide commercially focused legal advice to clients and attend hearings and consultations Diarise and manage key court dates and deadlines Negotiate with third-party solicitors, insurers, and other stakeholders Ensure compliance with Court Rules, internal policies, and legal practice standards Maintain case progress and client satisfaction through effective communication and time management Essential Skills and Experience Proven experience handling litigated cases, ideally involving Vehicle Damage and Personal Injury (Defendant side preferred) Knowledge or experience in insurance litigation and/or Counter Fraud Skilled in forensic analysis and document review Confident communicator with strong drafting and negotiation skills Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment Proficient in using Case Management Systems Team player with a proactive, problem-solving mindset Whats on Offer Competitive salary and benefits package Hybrid working arrangements Supportive, collaborative team environment Ongoing training and development through internal and external courses and seminars Clear career progression pathways and performance recognition Opportunity to shape and grow the Counter Fraud department and contribute to the wider success of the firm If you would like a confidential discussion about the role, please contact Orla Milligan at Pathway.
