Job Title: Junior Project Manager Location: Carrigtwohill, Cork Contract: Full-Time Reports To: Senior Project Manager Renumeration: Excellent package/benefits available for the successful candidate Job Summary The Junior Project Manager supports the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and delivering construction projects on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
This is a site-based role, with responsibility for assisting in managing the full project lifecycle and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Key Activities Assist in developing and managing project plans, schedules, and budgets Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project progress aligns with plans Monitor project performance, track milestones, and report updates to senior project managers Generate project progress reports and assist in Microsoft Project generation and reporting to a high standard Liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to address queries and provide project updates Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, progress reports, and risk assessments Assist in procurement activities, including sourcing materials and reviewing subcontractor agreements Support in managing site activities, addressing on-site issues, and ensuring project quality standards are met Maintain and manage On-Site Quality Packs and associated document control Identify potential risks or delays and propose solutions to keep the project on track Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and provide support to on-site teams Competencies Strong organisational and multitasking skills to manage competing priorities Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration with stakeholders Problem-solving and analytical thinking to address project challenges efficiently Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) Team-oriented approach with the ability to build strong working relationships Knowledge of construction processes, building regulations, and health and safety standards Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic project environments Education & Experience Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field 13 years of experience in construction or project management roles Experience working with a Tier 2 construction company is an advantage Health and safety training (e.g., Safe Pass, Manual Handling) is desirable Benefits: career progession excellent working enviroment great place to work employer additional benefits
