You will join a leading global multi-disciplinary consultancy with offices throughout UK.
PURPOSE OF JOB: To lead and deliver projects for our clients, as part of the Water team through concept and detailed designs, planning, procurement and construction on a variety of Water and Wastewater projects.
Tasks will include management of internal and external design teams, project management, client and stakeholder communication and consultation, report writing, programmes, procurement of specialist services and main contractors, NEC contract administration, quality control and other job related tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: As a member of the Water Team, under the guidance of senior team members and with the support of a design team you will undertake the following duties: Manage preparation of conceptual, schematic and detailed design solutions for various elements of civil infrastructure engineering work, Liaising and co-ordinating with clients, design team members, both in house, other offices and/or external consultants, Assisting clients with achieving statutory approvals, Chairing design team meetings and client liaison meetings as appropriate, Assisting in the preparation of drawing lists, programmes, specifications and progress reports using Microsoft Office software, Managing and leading procurement of contractors on behalf of clients, Undertaking the role of NEC Project Manager throughout construction, Any other relevant engineering / management duties as may be required from time to time and as determined by Directors.
KEY ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE: Essential Applicants must have a degree in civil engineering, Experience in a similar role working on Water / Wastewater / projects.
Project Management experience, including NEC contract administration and ability to work effectively under pressure, to deadlines and as part of a team, Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Applicants should be approaching Chartership status with a recognised body or institution, NEC Accreditation, Previous design office experience.
