Our Hiring team
At Monzo, our Hiring Team is the backbone of our growth, divided into four dynamic squads: Executive Hiring, Business Hiring, Technology Hiring, and Customer Support Hiring. With nearly 40 talented individuals driving our success in the UK, we are excited to expand internationally. We're now welcoming our third recruiter outside of the UK — and we're looking for someone who is up for this challenge
You'll play a key role by...
- As the third member of Monzo's EU recruiting team, you'll be instrumental in our expansion across new territories. Think of yourself as the architect laying the foundations for future talent, building teams from the ground up across various specialisations. Here's a snapshot of your Monzo adventure:
- You'll love sourcing and headhunting candidates that are not actively looking
- You'll be great at sourcing passive candidates yourself, and thinking about how to get the best people interested in Monzo.
- You'll work with Hiring Managers to structure and run great hiring processes
- Our hiring managers are often busy team leads and executives. They'll need your help to identify what skills they're looking for and how best to assess these. You'll be confident challenging their thinking and asking the right questions to figure this out. You'll own everything about the hiring process from beginning to end, and be skilled at convincing candidates to join us.
- We constantly refine our hiring processes to make them simpler and more effective. You'll use data to work out what's going well and where things could be better, and share your findings with other members of the hiring team so we can all improve.
- You'll care deeply about diversity and inclusiveness, and giving candidates an amazing experience
- We want to go the extra mile to make sure that every applicant to every job feels valued, respected and never wavers in their support for Monzo, whatever the outcome of their application. You'll know where to find the right candidates from a range of backgrounds and have ideas about how to make sure they feel welcome at Monzo. And once we've decided we want to hire someone, you'll move mountains in the background to make it an effortless, pleasant process, and keep that excitement burning.
- You'll be passionate about making processes work better
- You might already have a specialist area but you'll be comfortable working on any role
- We don't mind if you're a generalist recruiter, or if you already have a specialism, as long as you're initially happy getting stuck into hiring any role that needs you. You'll work closely with other members of the hiring team to solve company-wide hiring problems, share what you already know and learn from their experiences. As the team builds out, you'll be able to continue specialising as an individual contributor, or explore development into management or leadership.
- You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a recruitment, talent acquisition, or a related business support role, with a strong interest in sourcing. Experience in a fast-paced or high-growth environment is a plus.
- You have a solid understanding of various sourcing methodologies and tools, with a genuine curiosity to learn and experiment with new approaches.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely. You'll be comfortable crafting engaging outreach messages.
- You're a catalyst for change: You challenge conventional thinking and bring fresh ideas to attract and hire the best talent.
- You have a heart for People: You create fantastic candidate experiences and nurture an inclusive environment.
- You thrive in ambiguity: You're able to navigate the unknown with confidence, setting up new systems and processes as you go.
- You're data-driven: You use metrics to guide decisions and continuously improve our hiring practices.
- You're a Monzo ambassador: you embody our culture and values, ensuring they shine through in every interaction.
