About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Senior Project Engineer with a background in the pharmaceutical/industrial projects to join our team in Longford with long term work in the Midlands. This is a critical leadership position where you will take full ownership of engineering projects from design through to commissioning, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of capital and process engineering projects in a GMP-regulated environment
  • Manage project scope, cost, schedule, and quality, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Oversee the design, specification, procurement, installation, and commissioning of equipment and systems
  • Ensure all engineering activities are carried out in compliance with EHS, cGMP, and regulatory standards
  • Work collaboratively with validation, quality, and operations teams to ensure seamless project handover
  • Develop and maintain project documentation i
  • Manage and coordinate third-party contractors and vendors
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 6+ years of engineering experience within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry
  • Proven experience managing capital projects from concept to handover
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience with clean utilities, HVAC, process systems, or aseptic environments is highly desirable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and other relevant tools
