About Your New Job
As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance across all projects. You will:
- Develop and enforce robust quality control and assurance (QA/QC) processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Establish and implement tailored quality management plans for each project.
- Coordinate customer and supplier inspections, audits, and testing procedures to ensure compliance with stringent quality standards, industry regulations, and client expectations.
- Conduct quality engineering reviews of design documentation, vendor quality manuals, and company quality records.
- Perform in-process and final inspections of fabricated parts and work-in-progress (WIP), including visual weld inspections (training provided).
- Maintain and process relevant documentation, including EN1090 & EN3834 records, PED vessel certification, and data quality packs for customers upon project completion.
- Support the operation and maintenance of ISO9001:2015 QMS and prepare for NSAI external audits.
- Manage and maintain supplier and subcontractor databases, ensuring up-to-date quality records.
- Perform data analysis and visualization to drive continuous improvement initiatives and monitor quality program metrics.
What Skills You Need to Become a Quality Engineer
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Quality, or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar quality control and assurance (QA/QC) role.
- Strong understanding of industry best practices, quality standards, and compliance processes.
- Experience with pressure vessel certification to PED and engagement with third-party Notified Bodies is an advantage.
- Familiarity with process validation and documentation within regulated industries is beneficial.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in advanced MS Excel or equivalent data analysis tools.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
