Overview

What is the opportunity?

Excellent opportunity to contribute to improving IT Resilience and Continuity testing, associated runbook tooling and ITSC test automation, introducing efficiencies with a focus on continuous improvement and reduction of toil for our customer, colleagues and community.

In this Role, you will:

  • Align our process with the Group's needs - coordinating closely with our Group Resilience & Continuity team to ensure our focus is on services critical to the Group.
  • Implement our service standards - ensuring critical IT services are delivering what the customers expect.
  • Provide Assurance - through testing, verify the capability of critical services to recover within the Group's Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and take appropriate action where deficiencies are highlighted.
  • Plan for the future - focus for the year ahead in ensuring we meet our IT Service Continuity Management Test commitments; quality targets and our critical services are fully prepared for recovery.
What will make you stand out?

Excellent understanding of IT Continuity concepts and a thorough understanding of Recovery Point Objectives (RPO), Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and tolerance levels of IT Service

Good technical knowledge of IT Infrastructure and understanding of a wide variety of industry standard infrastructure hardware, tools, and software

Demonstrable experience delivering results through cross team collaboration

Liaise confidently with all levels of staff, including Senior Management with the ability to self-motivate and work under own initiative to effectively diagnose and solve problems.

The following will make you stand out, but are not necessary to apply:

  • Comfortable with Cloud & Hybrid Technology, with respect to IT Service Continuity
  • Experience of automation and use of tooling for IT Service Continuity
  • Experience of automation and runbook tooling (Ansible, Cutover) to support the automation and integration of ITSC tasks alongside other technologies (ServiceNow, Microsoft Teams etc.)
Essential Qualifications

There are no specific qualifications or minimum educational requirements needed for this role.

The following will make you stand out, but are not necessary to apply:

  • Industry certifications (ISO/ITIL) with a strong knowledge of Incident and Organisational Change.
  • Project Management and/or Service Management experience and comfortable with multiple IT Service continuity concepts (Data, DR, Cloud, Backup, Resilience etc.)

The Service Resilience and Continuity team is part of Technology Services within Group IT. Our team has responsibility for ensuring our critical services are resilient and recoverable. As a team, we take pride in our ability to achieve results and solve problems. We are a highly motivated team who are focused on finding ways to constantly improve to serve our customers thoughtfully. As part of resilience improvements and operational excellence, we are working on efficiencies, automation and reduction of toil. As a team we pride ourselves on our creativity via a commitment to continually challenge ourselves to utilise new skills and capabilities into everything we do.

This is a hybrid role, based primarily at Cabinteely, Dublin. We typically ask colleagues to spend a minimum of 8 days per month working in-person to support collaboration and connection. Specific arrangements will be confirmed by your recruiter to ensure they meet the needs of the role and team.
