PUNCH Consulting Engineers have a vacancy for a Senior Civil Engineer to work in Dublin, Limerick, or Cork.

Job Description

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will work closely with senior managers on major projects. You will be responsible for the technical, managerial, and commercial aspects of your projects, in accordance with ISO procedures.

Candidate Specification
  • Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Ireland or ICE.
  • Honours degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a design office environment.
  • Excellent understanding of drainage, water, roads, and traffic system design principles.
  • Familiarity with DMURS.
  • Experience in engineering planning documentation for major projects.
  • Experience producing Flood Risk Assessments.
  • Experience in Traffic & Transportation Assessments and Mobility Management Plans.
  • Road Safety Audit experience is beneficial.
  • IT skills: MS Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Linsig, Causeway Flow, MicroDrainage, TRICs, Tuflow, HEC-RAS, EPANet.
  • Ability to apply scientific methods to engineering problems, understanding of standards and codes.
  • Ability to plan and manage resources.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of Irish regulatory and policy issues.
  • Knowledge of the Project Delivery Process and GCCC Contracts.
  • Knowledge of costing and options appraisal.
  • Understanding of project financing and fund management.
  • Commitment to CPD and competence.
  • Proactive with adaptability to change.
