Overview

IT Search is partnering with one of Ireland's most respected electronics manufacturers to recruit an Automation Controls Engineer for their Shannon campus. The Role
  • Design and develop advanced control systems for custom automation and test equipment.
  • Program PLCs/HMIs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and integrate robotics, servo drives, and vision systems.
  • Provide technical expertise across design, build, debug, and commissioning phases.
  • Drive compliance with safety standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
The Person
  • Degree in Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field.
  • Proven experience in controls design, PLC/HMI programming, and robotics/motion system integration.
  • Skilled at reading and producing electrical documentation.
  • Strong technical problem-solving and communication skills.

This is a full-time, onsite role in Shannon with a starting salary of €70,000 plus bonus, pension, and health insurance. The company offers excellent long-term career progression in a highly innovative environment.
