Stock Controller

Hours: 9.30am-6pm, Monday to Friday

Our client, a leading Irish furniture retailer with 22 stores nationwide, is seeking to hire an experienced Stock Taker/Auditor. As an experienced Stock Taker/Auditor, you will be responsible for the accurate counting and recording of inventory levels across the company's retail nationwide and warehouses (Dublin & Galway). The role reports directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities:
  1. Conducting stock counts and maintaining accurate inventory levels across the retail network of stores and warehouses (2 in Galway & 1 in Dublin).
  2. Responsible for creating a process to ensure regular stock taking ensuring accuracy of stock count and inventory levels.
  3. Conducting stop checks and inventory audits.
  4. Reporting on discrepancies and maintaining stock integrity.
  5. Collaborating with staff and stores to ensure the accurate tracking and recording of inventory and stock movement.
  6. Ensures operational efficiency to prevent financial loss due to stock discrepancies, shrinkage, etc.
  7. Analysing and liaising with stores to understand the root cause of faulty or missing stock.
  8. Identifying and resolving discrepancies found during stock takes.
  9. Ensuring accurate stock reporting.
Requirements:
  1. Accuracy in stock counting and recording of inventory levels.
  2. Strong attention to detail.
  3. Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  4. Familiarity with inventory management software.
  5. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
  6. Willingness to travel nationwide.
  7. Ability to plan routes.
