As a Calibration Technician working with the LotusWorks team, you will join our Calibration Lab based at our Head Office in Sligo. The role will occasionally require support of the mobile calibration team on client's sites.
Responsibilities- Perform scheduled calibrations according to LotusWorks procedures with execution of calibrations such as Pressure, Flow, Temperature, Pressure, pH and Conductivity, both preventative and corrective, on systems and equipment.
- Respond to and assist calibration priorities in the event of unscheduled equipment failure or an out of specification to ensure service delivery requirements are maintained.
- Have excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, which above all, pose no risk to health and secondly provide no potential risk to any systems.
- Ensure all works executed are recorded on the relevant computerised calibration management system (CCMS).
- Maintain organized and controlled documentation in compliance with GMP and FDA regulations.
- Adhere to calibration discrepancy procedures and follow up on calibrated items that have been escalated as discrepancies.
- Follow all procedures related to overdue / quarantined equipment to ensure compliance from a calibration department perspective.
- Follow all relevant SOPs and procedures when completing calibration tasks.
- Follow decommissioning procedures and follow up on items that cannot be fixed.
- Interact professionally with team members to ensure preventative and corrective maintenance activities are completed in a compliant and efficient manner.
- Provide suggestions for continuous improvement in processes and calibration activities.
- Assist in audits and investigations as required.
- Coordinate and manage third-party vendors for calibration services.
- Handle quotes and oversee logistics to ensure timely equipment delivery.
- Manage calibration certification and associated documentation.
- Generate purchase orders (POs) as needed for calibration activities.
- Maintain specified stock levels of spare parts.
- Attend meetings and provide status updates on calibration schedules.
- Ensure training is up to date.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and adhere to EHSQ and Quality standards.
- Demonstrate ownership and show initiative to resolve issues in a timely manner in a high paced, schedule driven environment.
- Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
- Strong knowledge and interest in Calibration Systems.
- Proficiency in computer operating systems and applications, including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Level 7 in Quality, Science, or Equivalent experience or equivalent trade qualification.
- Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
