Maintenance Technician

Overview of the Role:

  • The Maintenance Technician is a key member of our engineering team, responsible for supporting the delivery of complex projects in the biopharmaceutical industry.

Maintenance Technician Job Responsibilities:

  1. Supporting engineering teams in pharma operations to ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
  2. Participating in design and process project conversations to ensure reliability by design is built into equipment prior to arrival.
  3. Preparing preventative and predictive maintenance for new pharma equipment, obtaining approval on Maximo.
  4. Completing and documenting PMs and PDMS on manufacturing equipment into Maximo.
  5. Ensuring commissioning spare parts are received and cataloged in Maximo.
  6. Identifying and cataloging critical spare parts in Maximo.
  7. Actively participating in Factory Acceptance testing, Site Acceptance Testing, and commissioning and qualification of equipment.
  8. Reviewing and approving process-related commissioning, qualification, and validation protocols for completeness and accuracy.
  9. Executing protocols in a timely manner to meet project schedule requirements.
  10. Reviewing and approving process flow diagrams, specifications, layouts, and P&IDs.
  11. Ensuring proactive high-performance day-to-day preventative and demand maintenance activity to maintain manufacturing and utility equipment.
  12. Liaising with operations, quality, and technical operations to maximize equipment and process performance.
  13. Maintaining records and documentation on relevant engineering procedures and preventative/demand maintenance.
  14. Liaising with internal/external engineering personnel and contract maintenance providers to troubleshoot and install/commission equipment.
  15. Completing instrument calibration as per schedule.
  16. Taking ownership of the site's Predictive Maintenance program, managing and developing outsourced condition monitoring contracts, implementing recommendations, and tracking to closure.
  17. Implementing equipment/process upgrades in an environment of continuous improvement.
  18. Supporting the Production Team in maintaining manufacturing equipment to meet output and yield requirements.
  19. Adhering to all relevant policies relating to Quality & Safety.
  20. Ensuring successful external inspections and Division and Corporate audits.
  21. Supervising external contractors.
