About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a senior member of our design group, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automated equipment that meets the needs of our clients.

  • You will work closely with our design team to develop innovative concepts from customer requirements.">
  • Using 3D CAD applications such as SolidWorks, you will create detailed designs of mechatronic equipment including mechanisms, transfer systems, servo systems, robotics, pneumatics, electrical equipment, and machine guarding systems.">
  • At the build and debug stage, you will be hands-on, ensuring that your designs meet performance specifications.">
  • You will take responsibility for large projects and manage cross-functional teams through the life cycle of a project.">
  • With excellent communication skills, you will guide machine build technicians and provide technical direction on job specifications and issues daily.">

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • ">
  • A degree in a relevant engineering discipline.">
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in automation projects, with responsibility for design sign-off, installation, and commissioning.">
  • Extensive experience in a machine design role.">
  • Strong experience using 3D CAD applications.">
  • Excellent communication skills.">
  • The ability to take ownership and responsibility to realize project milestones and timelines.">
  • Keen interest in engineering technology and remaining knowledgeable about the cutting edge of automation technology.">
  • Project management experience is advantageous.">
  • A proven track record in problem-solving and delivering solutions.">
  • The ability to take initiative and be innovative.">
  • A current driving license and willingness to travel.">
