About The Role

Support the Head of Credit Risk & Analytics in delivering a robust, forward-looking, and data-driven Credit Risk Management capability. This role will have day-to-day ownership of the Credit Risk Management Framework, including development and oversight of credit risk policies, credit risk monitoring, and executive-level risk reporting. The Credit Risk Manager will play a central role in ensuring that credit risks are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled, and that risk insights inform business growth, capital allocation, and Board-level decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, update, and embed the Credit Risk Management Framework (CRMF) across all business units, products, entities, and regions.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain credit risk policies, procedures, and standards, aligned to global best practice.
  • Ensure frameworks support scalable growth while meeting regulatory expectations and prudent risk management principles.
  • Develop and monitor credit risk Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) at both portfolio and segment levels.
  • Escalate breaches of thresholds promptly and ensure appropriate challenge and remediation.
  • Deliver regular risk reporting and insights to the Executive Committee and Board, highlighting exposures, concentrations, emerging risks, and appetite breaches.
  • Conduct portfolio analysis across customer, product, and regional segments to identify trends and vulnerabilities.
  • Leverage advanced analytics and AI tools to enhance portfolio monitoring, early warning signals, and predictive credit risk capabilities.
  • Partner with data teams to improve credit risk models and forecasting.
  • Maintain current knowledge of global credit risk regulatory frameworks.
  • Ensure all credit risk processes are compliant, transparent, and auditable.
  • Anticipate and adapt to regulatory developments affecting credit risk measurement, provisioning, and governance.
  • Act as a key advocate for credit risk awareness and accountability across the business.
  • Drive engagement with business leaders to embed credit risk ownership, appetite, and controls into decision-making.
  • Provide training, workshops, and guidance on credit risk principles to strengthen the risk culture.

Skills And Competencies

  • Seasoned expertise in credit risk management, portfolio risk analytics, or related functions within consumer or small business lending
  • Deep understanding of credit risk frameworks and credit policy.
  • Proficiency in risk data analytics, credit models, and visualization tools.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Professional certifications (FRM, PRM, CFA, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
