The role will require the development of innovative test and automation solutions to achieve operational strategy while also maintaining current systems. We are seeking an innovative individual with desired hardware and software skills to develop, maintain and realize test, calibration and automation systems within the manufacturing floor.

As a Test Systems & Automation Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Creating & setting standard for test system development, defining architecture conducive to business strategies including cybersecurity, machine utilization, Quality data, database and automation to realize Industry 4.0 strategy (improve production KPI's through increased machine productivity and data analytics)

  • Working to standard you will be responsible for development and maintenance of critical supply chain product test applications and systems within your assigned area.

  • Implementing Poke Yoke (mistake proofing) in both software, hardware and process flow.

  • Managing and mitigating risks relating to obsolescence and support, proactively undertaking refresh program for existing legacy systems to avoid hardware and software obsolescence.

  • Managing NPI program, design for test (DFT): specify new product requirements to enable digital integrations into production test systems enabling labor productivity. Working directly with the New product teams to bring the concept to the manufacturing floor.

  • Working with a cross functional team of Manufacturing, Quality, Design and Material Engineers.

  • Troubleshooting shop floor issues, analyze root cause, implement corrective actions to meet on time delivery of product dispatch.

    • Ensuring manufacturing processes comply with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Standard.

    • Liaising with operational leadership and the shop floor daily to ensure stable operation within plant.

    • Working Andon, NCR and Quality issues on the floor linked to your assigned systems and projects.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a bachelor's degree in fields such as Industrial / Mechanical / Electrical / Automation Engineering or Instrumentation / Applied Physics.

  • Demonstrate proven overall experience in the manufacturing industry

  • Have a background in software, digitization or Industrial automation

  • Have the ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications.

  • Have Knowledge in Six Sigma/Lean techniques.

  • Have knowledge in SAP ERP systems

  • Have the ability to lead initiatives.

  • Have background in LabVIEW, PowerStar or other related software's.

  • Demonstrate ability to use AutoCAD or Solidworks
