Overview

Lead Automation Engineer | 12 Month Contract | Client Side | Biopharmaceutical | Dublin


Position available for a Lead Automation Engineer to work client-side on a 12-month rolling contract, offering your automation expertise to support an expansion project and a site upgrade.


The project is to support a state-of-the-art biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility that will produce multiple products to support an ever-growing vast global consumer demand.


As a member of the onsite automation team, the role will support complex and challenging system automation initiatives, and each day will be different.


The client is offering not only a hybrid working model but also offering flexible working hours.


Responsibilities
  • Ownership and administration of process automation Systems in a GMP-regulated manufacturing setting.
  • Lead and support system improvements, development of detailed specifications, engineering documents, and standard operating procedures.
  • Lead technical root cause analysis, incident investigations and troubleshooting issues related to instrumentation and equipment control systems.
  • Support new product or technology introductions by performing engineering assessments, implementing automation system configuration changes and supporting engineering runs.
  • Solving complex problems, lifecycle management and operational excellence.
  • Develop and manage change control requests per established SOPs and processes.
  • Support a safe working environment by complying with all applicable environmental health/safety practices, rules and regulations.
  • Critically analysing designs of existing systems, developing and recommending continuous improvements in line with the latest technology and regulatory standards.
