Position Summary

NeoDyne are recruiting a highly skilled Automation Engineer to work on leading-edge automation projects, predominantly in the Life Science sector. A background in GAMP 5 and experience with Siemens and AVEVA (Wonderware) products would be a distinct advantage.

This role is offered as a full-time staff position, based out of our Dublin office, with an excellent Salary and Benefits package. Key Responsibilities
  • Working with a team of digital manufacturing/automation engineers managing and delivering projects to customer sites.
  • Developing engineering design documents, technical evaluations, and test plans.
  • Design and coding of industrial process automation solutions on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • Production of I/O schedules.
  • Preparation of Functional Design specifications.
  • Design and configuration of user interface systems for industrial control (HMI/SCADA).
  • Design of control panels and creation of panel wiring schematics.
  • Commissioning of control systems in the field: I/O and instrumentation testing, full testing and commissioning of automation systems.
  • Fault finding of control systems (PLC, HMI/SCADA, Communication Networks etc.).
  • Providing design and approval for hardware, software, and controls for automated systems.
  • Working closely with customers to identify areas for improvement through the use of automation and data analytics technology.
  • Providing technical and automation operational support to Engineering, Manufacturing, Validation and Facilities departments.
  • Mentoring and training of graduate/junior engineers.
Experience & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Computer Science / Information Systems or related field.
  • 3 or more years' automation engineering experience.
  • PLC Programming Experience: Siemens.
  • Knowledge of process instrumentation and wiring.
  • Experience with control networks and communications systems (Profibus, Modbus, DeviceNet).
  • Experience working with validated Automation systems in the Pharmaceutical or Food & Beverage manufacturing environment.
