Job Title: Pastry Chef

Join our team at Choice Hotel Group as a Pastry Chef in Galway. We are seeking a skilled and creative individual passionate about baking and dessert artistry, with experience in producing high-quality pastries, cakes, breads, and desserts in a busy hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and present a wide variety of pastries, cakes, breads, and desserts to high standards.
  • Develop and innovate dessert recipes, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current trends.
  • Manage daily operations of the pastry section, including inventory control and hygiene standards.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth service and menu consistency.
  • Train and supervise junior pastry staff as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
Requirements:
  • Relevant culinary qualifications and at least 2 years' experience as a Pastry Chef, preferably in fine dining or hotel settings.
  • Strong technical skills in pastry preparation, decoration, and finishing.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a team.
  • Commitment to high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Eligible to work in Ireland.
