The Company

Our client is a market-leading manufacturer in the construction sector with sites across Ireland. They have an exceptional reputation for quality, service and reliability, and are a trusted supplier to builders merchants nationwide. Due to a long-serving team member retiring, they are now looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to take over a well-managed Leinster territory. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected brand and take on a stable, established customer base.

The Role

As Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing relationships with a portfolio of builders merchants across the Leinster region. This is a predominantly account management role, but you will also be expected to identify opportunities for growth within your customer base. You\'ll work closely with branch managers, directors and buying teams, ensuring high levels of service and supporting merchants to grow sales of the product range. With a strong territory already in place, the role is about maintaining and expanding long-standing relationships rather than opening brand new accounts.

The Candidate

We are looking to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Proven experience selling into builders merchants (essential)
  • A background in construction products or related industries
  • Strong relationship-building and account management skills
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to spot growth opportunities
  • Based in the Leinster region
The Package
  • Base pay range: Market-leading package provided by BMS Performance Ireland (your actual pay will be based on skills and experience)
  • Bonus: 10%
