We are looking for a Platform Automation Engineer to join our client's team in Dublin. In this role, you will ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of core services and platforms through automation, observability, and engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation tools to reduce manual effort and improve system reliability and scalability.
  • Build integration components, APIs, and data models to streamline operations and enhance interoperability.
  • Analyse infrastructure and application data to improve Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and reduce operational toil.
  • Collaborate with cloud and application teams across the software lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot high-priority incidents and lead post-incident reviews to drive permanent resolution.
  • Contribute to project planning and support rotational on-call as required.

Specialist Focus Areas (Desirable):

  • Monitoring/Observability: Build end-to-end monitoring frameworks and implement actionable telemetry using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, etc.
  • Backup & Recovery: Design and automate cloud-native data protection solutions with cyber vault, isolated recovery, and resilience-first architecture.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong automation background with experience across cloud platforms, container systems, compute, storage, and networks.
  • Proven skills in monitoring, observability, and incident management.
  • Experience building automation solutions with SDLC mindset.
  • Familiarity with SSO, LDAP, Kerberos, Active Directory.
  • Understanding of operational risk, service availability, and performance in enterprise environments.
  • Track record of coaching peers and promoting a continuous improvement mindset.
