Role Overview :
- Supports New Energy Product/ Service Introduction activities within the Anecto Power Electronics group.
- Supporting the capability development activities within the Anecto Energy group.
- Providing technical support to other groups in the Anecto organisation.
The Senior Electronic Engineer's role is specific to Power Electronic Conversion Technologies with scope of work split across the following key areas:
- Fault finding on Electronic Control and Power sub-assemblies.
- Diagnostics and debug of Electronic assemblies and components.
- Reverse engineering of units that the original equipment supplier is unwilling to supply information on, or no longer supports.
- Design of Hardware (PCB) supporting new products and/or services.
- Lead the development of specific test capabilities required to test and control power units with emphasis on safety.
- Liaise with external vendors to ensure that bought-in components or services are as required.
- Ensure that all activities are performed in a manner that ensures the safety of all personnel.
- Working with other team members, ensure that all necessary validation testing and reporting is performed.
- Project management to support business needs.
Consultancy Services:
- Work closely with customers to ensure that project brief is fully understood and services meet their and Anecto expectations.
- Development of User Requirement Specifications where applicable.
- Work closely with Sales in the development of proposals and new or non-standard test & methodology protocols.
Support Ongoing Test Activities:
- Support the organization where required in ensuring that all test equipment is fully operational.
- Support the organization through the development of incremental and improved test capability.
Qualification:
- Degree in Electronic Engineering or related field in Power Electronics applications.
- 5-10+ years relevant Electronic Engineering experience in a Design / Service environment.
- Analogue and digital design techniques, design layout and circuit schematic development.
- A comprehensive knowledge of microprocessors, memory devices, etc.
- Understanding of software e.g. C, C++, Python desirable.
- Capability to reverse engineer and produce schematic diagrams on products that have limited diagrams or information available.
- Capability to develop product test methods and procedures.
- Project management experience an advantage.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
- All aspects of his work conform to Anecto's and other general Health and Safety rules and requirements.
