Purpose of Role: to provide a range of services to individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities and/or autism. All care is person centered and provides a holistic service in partnership with the person's circle of support.

The Company
Barróg Healthcare is a small, private health and social care provider based in Dublin with services nationwide providing residential care and day packages nationwide to enable people who need support across the areas of mental health, disability, aftercare, transitional and mainstream social care. Salary
- Pay scale in place from €14.50 to €18.62 for Support Workers
- €16.00 to €20.90 for Social Care Workers

Shifts Available
- 12-hour day shifts
Working Hours
8am to 8pm, Mon - Sun. Some flexibility for shift work may be required due to the 24/7 nature of the role.
Reporting Relationship
This post will report to the Residential Manager and Deputy Manager.

Essential Criteria
- Permission to work in Ireland.
- Full clean driver's license from EU, UK or Ireland
- For Social Care Workers: Candidates must have a relevant qualification in Social Care. At a minimum a B.A. in Social Care, Fetac Level 7, or other CORU accepted qualifications in Social Care AND Must be registered as a Social Care Worker with CORU or commit to completing registration with CORU as a Social Care Worker by end of November 2025 OR have 2 years' experience working as a Social Care Worker in the last 5 years AND have commenced their application to register as a Social Care Worker with CORU.
- For Support Worker roles a minimum of a QQI Level 5 major award (8 components / modules) in Health or Social Care or equivalent is required OR a commitment to complete the major award if some components / modules are already completed.
The following will be seen as an advantage
- One year of experience in a Healthcare or Social Care setting.
- Experience working in a Residential Setting
- Working knowledge of regulatory compliance and HIQA standards
- Experience/knowledge of report writing and client support plans.
Candidate Skills / Experience
- The ability to support the client group in a respectful way, always with the client's goals and needs at the centre of every task.
- An understanding of how to prevent and manage challenging behaviour.
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Comfortable working with essential information technology and providing reports
Main Duties / Responsibilities
- Support service users with an intellectual / physical disability, autism.
- Ensure service users are supported to make sense of their environment, learn new skills and maximise their independence.
- Assist individuals with their daily living activities.
- Support service users with their health and well-being, personal care including continence requirements if required.
- Support individuals to live a meaningful life, with a priority focus on equal citizenship.
- Facilitate everyone supported by the services to actively participate and integrate into the community.
- Act as an advocate for clients / residents
- Actively promote the participation of clients / residents in the formulation and execution of their care/placement plan.
- Accompany service users to appointments and other events as required
- Assist service user's that have reduced mobility.
- Undertake duties as may be assigned by your direct manager/team leader to support the care of service users.
- Manage challenging behaviours, using a positive behaviour support plan.
- Provide reports on client activities to management
- Attend staff meetings and contribute constructively to the ongoing progression/ implementation of the care plan.
