Overview

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Mechanical Quantity Surveyor based in Dublin.

Role Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for cost management, budgeting, and financial control of mechanical projects from inception to completion. Duties include preparing cost estimates, conducting risk assessments, coordinating with project managers and engineers, and managing supplier contracts and negotiations. You will also be tasked with preparing tender documents, progress reports, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Cost management, budgeting, and financial control of mechanical projects from inception to completion
  • Prepare cost estimates and conduct risk assessments
  • Coordinate with project managers and engineers
  • Manage supplier contracts and negotiations
  • Prepare tender documents and progress reports
  • Ensure projects are delivered within budget and on schedule
Qualifications
  • Strong background in Mechanical Engineering and Maintenance skills
  • Knowledge of building services systems and components
  • Excellent project management and cost control abilities
  • Proficiency in preparing and analyzing tender documents and cost reports
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work effectively on-site in Dublin
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
  • Professional certification (e.g., RICS) and experience in mechanical building services is a plus
