Overview

Biotech Production Operator (Fixed Term Contract) at Eli Lilly and Company. Lilly is constructing a Next Generation Biotech Drug Substance Manufacturing Facility in Limerick, Ireland, delivering next-generation manufacturing technologies with advanced data platforms to improve safety, quality, productivity and process performance. This is a 23-month contract role within the Lilly Production Team, responsible for performing a range of production and operations tasks to support manufacturing and ensure a consistent supply of high-quality products.

Responsibilities
  • Operate machinery, equipment, or computer systems according to established procedures and guidelines.
  • Adhere to health and safety requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, coworkers, cross-functional teams, and other team members; communicate shift handovers and ensure issues are communicated and actioned appropriately.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols to ensure consistency, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues or malfunctions and report them to the relevant personnel.
  • Engage in training and development to enhance knowledge of operating equipment and systems; contribute to training of new colleagues on manufacturing processes.
What You Need
  • Leaving certificate as a minimum or equivalent.
  • Pharmaceutical/biotech industry qualification is desirable.
  • Flexible, reliable, and willing to undertake various tasks, embrace change, and provide coverage when required.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and good communication skills.
Personal Considerations
  • Process Operator role will operate shift patterns such as 24/7.
  • This is a fixed term contract for 23 months.
