Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career with a dynamic and progressive engineering company?

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of cost management and procurement for our projects. The position is based in Longford, overseeing projects in the Midlands and Northwest region, on a permanent, full-time basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage, price, and collate budgets for Mechanical projects of various sizes.
  • Ensure all contractual requirements are met and provide guidance to the construction team.
  • Identify potential commercial risks and report them promptly to management.
  • Review and update monthly progress reports, reflecting remeasurements, site variations, additional work, and claims.
  • Manage subcontractor accounts from award to final account.
  • Forecast turnover and cash flow for projects.
  • Oversee the commercial aspects of projects to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies related to Mechanical and HVAC systems.
Essential Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:
  • Relevant third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience as a quantity surveyor within the construction industry, with exposure to commercial and industrial projects.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Knowledge of HVAC and Piping Systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to generate detailed reports.
  • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn and succeed, energetic approach, and accountability.
