Here in Barden, we are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a well-established and successful Irish business in their search for a Financial Accountant to join their growing Finance team at their headquarters right here in Cork.

This role will report directly to the Financial Controller and work closely with a high-calibre CFO. This person will have a wide range of responsibilities and an opportunity to work with a strong team of experienced Finance professionals. Given some exciting growth in the business, you will get an opportunity to get involved in a wide range of finance project work.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Preparation of management accounts for the business on a monthly basis;
  • Developing a thorough understanding of the business and industry to adequately assist with efficiency improvements;
  • Posting of journals and all related transactions and ensure accurate recording and reporting;
  • Work closely with key senior stakeholders in the planning and performance of the business to support the continued growth;
  • Support of the Corporate tax, VAT and related tasks;
  • Liaise with external auditors and support the audit process by providing timely and accurate information and data;
  • End-to-end accounting across various parts of the finance function;
  • Ad-hoc projects and process improvements work.

ABOUT THE PERSON:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 1/2+ years PQE;
  • Excellent analytical skills;
  • Strong technical accounting ability;
  • Hardworking, detailed oriented and results focused;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
