Graduate Manufacturing Engineer - Vision Built

Vision Built has an exciting opening for a Graduate Manufacturing Engineer based in Tubbercurry, Sligo.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Providing Manufacturing Engineering support to the Production team, including planning and designing new processes for easy implementation.
  2. Documenting and maintaining work instructions and reviewing process risk assessments (RAMs).
  3. Developing pFMEA for current manufacturing activities (training will be provided).
  4. Establishing and confirming Quality Control Plans.
  5. Participating actively in DFMA activities.
  6. Championing TPM activities, such as pre-equipment checks and planned maintenance routines.
  7. Manufacturing prototypes and validating products within specifications.
  8. Identifying and implementing improvements to equipment, processes, and methods.
  9. Driving initiatives to reduce costs and improve on-time delivery.
  10. Applying and maintaining WCM (World Class Manufacturing) techniques and LEAN principles.
  11. Supporting the development and implementation of a new ERP system.
  12. Ensuring proper documentation of technical data for projects and tasks.
  13. Collaborating with outside suppliers to enhance and resolve issues.
  14. Evaluating processes for cost-effectiveness.
  15. Participating in projects to meet departmental goals.
  16. Utilizing 3D software and reading/creating Bills of Materials.
  17. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  18. Demonstrating multitasking, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
  19. Maintaining attention to detail and working independently or collaboratively.
  20. Exhibiting strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  21. Reading engineering documents.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar (preferred).
  • Experience in a relevant engineering role (an advantage).
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (preferred).
