Job Summary:

The Reservations Agent plays a vital role in managing daily reservation operations, ensuring accurate guest bookings, and facilitating effective communication between booking platforms, internal teams, and guests. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and communication skills to help streamline arrivals, departures, and guest inquiries across multiple channels.

With your impressive knowledge of our hotel, facilities, local area and more, as a Reservations Agent, you will be the friendly voice our guests hear when they want to learn more about staying with us. You will efficiently handle guest reservations, co-ordinating with the front office to ensure smooth check-ins and superior guest experiences. As this is an office-based position, you should be comfortable with using computers. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to this role as you will be responding to guests queries by email and phone.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and respond to questions received via our booking platforms

Dealing with incoming telephone calls for reservations room enquiries

Dealing with incoming e-mail queries from new and existing clients

Taking reservations accurately and in a helpful, friendly manner

Responding to all email reservations, conference and events enquires in a timely and accurate manner

Answering telephone calls promptly using proper telephone etiquette

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in hotel reservations preferred or administration role.
  • Familiarity with Opera PMS system preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily responsibilities.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in email handling and customer service communication.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Opera or similar PMS
