As part of working with emeis Ireland, you get to work with the largest nursing home group in Europe as well as in Ireland.

emeis Ireland is currently recruiting for Activity Coordinators who will provide meaningful activities and stimulation to all residents at our nursing home in The Residence Carton - Raheny. The post involves working as a part of a team, assessing residents' individual interests and acknowledging individual differences between residents. Activity Coordinators will encourage and promote participation in appropriate activities that allow for an increased sense of wellness and enjoyment in life.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Planning and Organizing Activities: Designing a variety of activities that cater to the interests and abilities of the residents. This can include arts and crafts, music sessions, exercise classes, gardening, and social events.
  2. Personalized Engagement: Engaging with residents to understand their preferences and past hobbies, and tailoring activities to meet their individual needs.
  3. Promoting Social Interaction: Creating opportunities for residents to socialize and build relationships, which helps combat feelings of isolation and loneliness.
  4. Health and Wellbeing: Organizing activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing, such as gentle exercise, memory games, and relaxation sessions.
  5. Logistics and Coordination: Managing the logistics of activities, including arranging transportation for outings, booking venues, and ensuring all necessary materials and equipment are available.
  6. Volunteer and Staff Coordination: Training and supervising volunteers or staff members who assist with activities.
  7. Feedback and Improvement: Collecting feedback from residents to assess the effectiveness of activities and making improvements as needed.
Qualities expected

This role requires creativity, empathy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work with elderly individuals, including those with varying levels of physical and cognitive abilities.
