Overview

A primary national consultancy in Ireland with specialisation across Sustainable Infrastructure, Circular Economy, Environment, Energy and Renewables. Specialising in providing solutions for waste and resource management for clients. Due to an increase in work awarded there is an opportunity for a Senior Environmental Engineer – Civil and Environmental Engineering to join the Circular Economy and Environment team, based in Cork. The successful applicant will become part of an established and reputable company, with opportunities to further develop both technical expertise and managerial capabilities. This role also provides a defined pathway for career progression to the level of Principal Engineer.

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing the planning and management of design work and CAD documentation, in close collaboration with Project Engineers and Engineering Technicians
  • Participating in on-site meetings with clients and other professionals
  • Ensuring adherence to the company's Quality Assurance and Management Systems
  • Complying with all relevant health and safety regulations
  • Coordinating activities and deliverables with other members of the project team
Skills & Qualifications
  • A degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years of post-graduate professional experience
  • Proven experience in project management
  • Energetic and self-motivated professional
  • Strong communication, organisational and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated experience in liaising with external stakeholders, clients, and sub-contractors
  • Flexible, collaborative, and an effective team player
  • Capable of working efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Possesses a full, clean valid driving licence
  • Experience in the design for anaerobic digestion facilities, solid waste management facilities or public realm is desirable
