Job Title: Principal Environment Scientist

Project Overview:

We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to lead our environmental team as a senior scientist.

  • Organise and manage large / strategic environmental projects, including Environmental Impact Assessments (EIARs) and non-statutory environmental reports.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the environmental team.
  • Develop excellent project management skills, encompassing technical delivery, financial management, stakeholder liaison and programme delivery on complex and/or multi-disciplinary projects.
About the Role:
  • Manage a diverse range of projects, ensuring timely delivery, within budget and to high technical standards.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, regulators, sub-contractors and internal disciplines.
  • Prepare proposals and input into bids for infrastructure projects.
  • Lead project teams.
  • Collaborate with local and wider teams across Ireland and the UK.
  • Provide technical support and mentorship to more junior team members.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in a relevant science or environmental engineering discipline (e.g. environmental science, sustainability, air and climate, noise, geology, hydrogeology etc).
  • Masters qualified in a relevant specialism preferred, but not essential.
  • Chartered Membership of relevant professional bodies.
  • Relevant post-graduate experience within a consultancy environment, specifically in the preparation and coordination of EIARs and non-statutory environmental reports.
