Gr4vy (pronounced Gravy) is a no-code cloud payments orchestration platform. Gr4vy's mission is to become the platform-of-choice by which all retailers deploy payment infrastructure around the world. The company has raised a total of $27.2M in funding and is growing its engineering team to drive product and market impact.

Role overview

Software Engineers at Gr4vy collaborate across product, engineering, design, and other stakeholders. We work in short two-week sprints and regularly share, reflect on and iterate on our work. Our platform uses Python with the FastAPI framework, and React/TypeScript for the frontend. We use unit, integration and acceptance tests to drive design and keep everything working.

Key responsibilities
  • You influence complex projects requiring coordination with colleagues outside your immediate team.
  • You communicate effectively, discussing problems and solutions with teammates.
  • You work with the product manager to ensure scope delivers value early and often.
  • You own support tasks to ensure operational stability, responding to incidents proactively until resolved.
  • You help define and implement monitoring and alerting.
  • You set and improve standards across engineering.
  • You mentor junior team members to help them grow.
  • You are a role model for the company values.
Requirements

We're looking for developers with strong Python experience, preferably using the FastAPI framework. Experience with Starlette, asyncio, SQLAlchemy, and pytest would be beneficial. You should have experience writing high-value tests and an understanding of software design principles.

Compensation & location

Base pay range: $70,000.00/yr

Compensation: Competitive salary in USD + equity + benefits

Location: Anywhere in Europe – Remote working
