Great development opportunity for an experienced MICE Sales Manager. This cluster role is responsible for effectively managing key accounts and agents within the conference and crew segments, collaborating closely with other sales teams to nurture existing and secure new opportunities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and nurture relationships with key venues and studios that may have Crew / Out of House group requirements.
  • Represent the hotels at sales team meetings, internal & external customer-led events as appropriate.
  • Develop and nurture relationships for the hotels with key national & global clients through ongoing account management.
  • Generate new business and accounts for all hotels.
  • Participate fully in all sales activities including telesales, sales calls, corporate entertaining, fam trips, social events, and overseas sales trips, as necessary.
  • Identification and management of new opportunities in the market in line with hotel strategy and across the wider group portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Area Director of Sales on proactive sales strategy and identifying & analysing opportunities.
  • Undertake monthly tracking of Conference In House, Conference Out of House & Crew segments in the hotels to monitor enquiries and conversion levels.
  • Timely production of monthly & ad hoc reports.
  • Execute actions from quarterly sales activity plans to support business needs.
  • Regular engagement with team on their performance.
  • Mentor and coach hotel sales and M&E team and develop talent pipeline.
  • Ensure Sales team resources are appropriately distributed across the area to meet business demands.

The ideal candidate:

  • Minimum of two years' experience working within a similar position in hotels
  • Commercially aware with strong analytical skills, able to understand key business indicators and competitive trends
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills
  • Good experience and ability across a variety of sales tools, ie CRM, BI Tool, Market Intelligence Tools, Solver
  • Ability to develop and build long-lasting relationships through account management, and promote cross-selling across the group
  • Experience of working with global clients & agencies
  • Sales-focused and results-driven
  • Knowledge of the Dublin market essential
