We are seeking an experienced Senior Hydrogeologist and/or Principal Hydrogeologist. The successful candidate will join our clients dynamic team based in Dublin, collaborating on challenging and exciting projects within the private and public sector.

The successful candidate will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to scope and deliver projects in line with client requirements. Candidates should have good people skills, be driven, and also work well in a team environment. A balance of technical, communication/written and field skills is sought to flexibly contribute to a variety of different projects.

For the right candidate , our client will consider remote workers within the EU but the candidate would be required to travel to Ireland regularly.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

As a Senior or Principal, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Technical report writing.
  • Providing leadership by overseeing, guiding, and managing junior team members and sub-consultants to meet project requirements effectively.
  • Communicating with clients, external stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and sub-contractors to ensure compliance with all project requirements.
  • Assisting in project and program management for large and complex projects, including post-planning approval assistance.
  • Preparation of and creating proposals to address client needs.
  • MSc in Environmental Science/Engineering, Hydrogeology or related disciplines
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working in the environmental sector
  • Self-motivated, organised and capable of working on their own initiative.
  • High attention to detail, excellent report writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and assemble various strands of complex data into clear, concise outputs.
  • Capacity to respond to tight timelines, reporting needs, and internal reporting structures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred:

  • >5 Years Experience
  • Full Clean Driving Licence or Working towards would be beneficial
  • Membership/Chartership of a recognised Environmental Professional body such as IEMA, IGI, IAH, CIWEM etc.
  • Preparation of EIA (supporting chapters etc)
  • Preparation of EPA Waste/IED/IPC Licensing Applications or Waste Facility Permit Applications
  • Experience in Contaminated Land Site Assessment, Quantitative Risk Assessment and Remediation of Contaminated Sites
