Site Project Manager

To manage and coordinate the design, construction, commissioning, and handover activities associated with the on-site Mechanical, Electrical, and Process upgrade works at the Wastewater Treatment facility in the North East.

Minimum of 5 years' experience and suitable qualifications within the Mechanical Engineering and/or Environmental Engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Management, supervision, and coordination of a team of engineers, safety personnel, and M&E installation personnel
• Representing the project's interests at client meetings & participation in and documentation of project coordination meetings
• Management of the on-site PSDP & PSCS duties and responsibilities
• Develop and encourage a culture of innovation and initiative regarding HSQE matters. Embrace fundamentals of Communication, Co-ordination, Co-operation, and Collaboration
• Management of site documentation: signage, audits, method statements, reports, and subcontractor documentation
• Procurement and expediting of materials & equipment
• Project cost review and reporting
• Research and suggest options on construction means, methods, and equipment
• Project closeout including handover of the completed safety file
• Prepare progress and technical reports for clients and internal use
• Timeline planning from contract award to completion, including overseeing commissioning & validation of systems
• Manage EPS performance against Contractual KPIs
• Manage daily communications and documentation with the ER and site RE staff, fostering a team environment through excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Coordinate & prepare handover documentation, testing, commissioning, and process proving documentation
• Coordinate Environmental & Ecology requirements
• Update work programmes weekly and monthly as required

Key Competencies and Skills:

• Proficiency in MS Office and project management software is advantageous
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong engineering, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Willingness to learn and be challenged in the water and wastewater industry
• Interest in implementing opportunities and initiatives within time-restricted schedules
• Ability to develop goals and plans to prioritize and meet deadlines

Qualifications:

• Third-level Mechanical or Environmental Engineering degree
• Relevant third-level qualification and experience will be considered
• Full EU/Irish driving license
