To manage and coordinate the design, construction, commissioning, and handover activities associated with the on-site Mechanical, Electrical, and Process upgrade works at the Wastewater Treatment facility in the North East.
Minimum of 5 years' experience and suitable qualifications within the Mechanical Engineering and/or Environmental Engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management, supervision, and coordination of a team of engineers, safety personnel, and M&E installation personnel
- Representing the project's interests at client meetings & participation in and documentation of project coordination meetings
- Management of the on-site PSDP & PSCS duties and responsibilities
- Develop and encourage a culture of innovation and initiative regarding HSQE matters. Embrace fundamentals of Communication, Co-ordination, Co-operation, and Collaboration
- Management of site documentation: signage, audits, method statements, reports, and subcontractor documentation
- Procurement and expediting of materials & equipment
- Project cost review and reporting
- Research and suggest options on construction means, methods, and equipment
- Project closeout including handover of the completed safety file
- Prepare progress and technical reports for clients and internal use
- Timeline planning from contract award to completion, including overseeing commissioning & validation of systems
- Manage EPS performance against Contractual KPIs
- Manage daily communications and documentation with the ER and site RE staff, fostering a team environment through excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Coordinate & prepare handover documentation, testing, commissioning, and process proving documentation
- Coordinate Environmental & Ecology requirements
- Update work programmes weekly and monthly as required
Key Competencies and Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management software is advantageous
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong engineering, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and be challenged in the water and wastewater industry
- Interest in implementing opportunities and initiatives within time-restricted schedules
- Ability to develop goals and plans to prioritize and meet deadlines
Qualifications:
- Third-level Mechanical or Environmental Engineering degree
- Relevant third-level qualification and experience will be considered
- Full EU/Irish driving license
