About The Role

As a 360 Machine Operative, you will be responsible for tasks including the loading and unloading of containers and curtain siders, recycling sorting, conducting machine checks, using plant machinery such as a Fork Lift, Loading shovel, or 360 Excavator (as appropriate), and ensuring good site housekeeping.

Key Accountabilities
  • Operate mobile plant as directed by the site manager.
  • Operate a 360 material rehandler (tracked and wheeled) to a good standard.
  • Operate a loading shovel or wheeled front loader to a good standard.
  • Inspect mobile plant prior to use, report any defects or damage to the site manager, and record on the daily check sheet.
  • Ensure mobile plant is greased, radiators are clean, and oil levels are maintained according to company/manufacturer procedures.
  • Operate machinery responsibly, using it only for its intended tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
  • Follow all risk assessments, work procedures, and safe systems of work.
  • Wash off mobile plant at the end of each shift.
  • Perform additional tasks as requested by management.
Experience and Skills
  • NPORS certification for operating relevant machinery (essential).
  • High operational competence in handling heavy machinery.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work additional non-machine tasks.
  • Attention to detail in inspections, reporting, and maintenance.
  • Responsible and safe approach to equipment operation.
