Overview

Due to continued expansion of eir evo, we are now seeking to recruit an experienced Level 2 Support Deskside Engineer to become an integral part of our Managed Services Team. This role involves working on a dedicated team for a prestigious client, supporting an evolving multi-technology IT environment.

The successful candidate will work with technologies such as Microsoft Servers, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, VMWare, Citrix, Cloud (Azure), and the latest Microsoft applications & solutions.

This role is based fully onsite 5 days a week with our customer in Dublin City Centre.

The role involves:

  • Resolving hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, and other devices; provisioning accounts and equipment.
  • Desktop support for the customer.
  • Supporting Windows desktops, Outlook, networks, MS Office, and other applications.
  • Maintaining and updating documentation.
  • Hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  • Software installation and configuration.
  • Interacting with and managing third-party vendors.
  • Application troubleshooting and support.
  • Imaging and deployment of devices.
  • Managing file permissions and access rights.
  • Configuration and support of mobile devices.
  • Providing remote and on-site user support.
  • Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with users and management.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in a deskside support environment.
  • Office and virtualization experience is advantageous.

Preferred certifications and experience:

  • Microsoft Specialist certification in Windows 10.
  • Microsoft MCP for Client or Server OS.

Successful candidates will gain exposure to:

  • All Microsoft Operating Systems.
  • Windows Servers.
  • Unified Communications.
  • Remote Access Solutions.
