Overview

Health Care Assistant Meath role at Westcare Homecare Ltd

Location: Meath and surrounding areas for HSE clients

Job Type: Full-time / Part-time

Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient care tasks such as bathing and dressing.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  • Assist with daily day-to-day tasks, heating and serving meals in accordance with dietary requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families and health care team members.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Light housekeeping such as laundry, cleaning and tidying to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Assist with mobility issues, such as transferring, walking or using mobility aids.
Qualifications
  • Relevant healthcare qualification - QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or Care of the Older Person and care skills or working toward
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Familiarity with medical software and electronic health records
