Audit Senior – Practice-Based Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for a recently qualified accountant (or a strong finalist) to step into an Audit Senior role within a progressive and dynamic audit team. The successful candidate will take the lead on a range of audit and audit-exempt assignments, working closely with managers and partners to deliver high-quality services to a diverse client base.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in audit who is ready to take on more responsibility, develop their leadership skills, and continue progressing within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities

Audit & Technical:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and completion of audit and audit-exempt engagements.
  • Prepare financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards.
  • Perform detailed reconciliations of balance sheet items including fixed assets, debtors, creditors, VAT, PAYE, and control accounts.
  • Identify and resolve audit issues proactively, ensuring compliance and client satisfaction.
Supervisory & Team Development:
  • Supervise and support a small team of trainees on audit assignments.
  • Provide guidance on technical matters and file preparation.
  • Review junior staff work and provide feedback to support development.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit processes and team knowledge.

Requirements
  • Recently qualified (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) or a strong finalist nearing qualification.
  • Previous audit experience in a practice environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines.
  • High level of technical proficiency in auditing and financial reporting.
