Salary: EUR55000 - EUR70000 per annum + Pension, Bonus, 2 days office

A multinational company based in Tuam is looking to hire a Management Accountant for a newly created role. This role offers excellent flexibility with only 2 days in the office required and an attractive salary in the €65,000 - €70,000 range plus bonus and benefits.

As it is a newly created role, previous experience working as a Management Accountant is essential. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end RTR and financial reporting. You will need strong reporting experience and should be able to demonstrate strong strategic thinking, problem solving, planning, and communication skills.

Key responsibilities of the Management Accountant

  1. Produce accurate, complete, and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual relevant reporting, including reconciliations, management pack, business review pack, tax pack, and audit pack.
  2. Produce flash reports as required.
  3. Manage the reconciliation of the stock ledger, maintaining the integrity and relevant provisions, supported by calculations.
  4. Perform appropriate journal entries/adjustments (with appropriate supporting documentation) ensuring GL reconciliations are timely and accurate.
  5. Provide variance analysis and commentary for month end.
  6. Perform assurance and control responsibilities, ensuring adequate review and reconciliations, including sub-ledger to GL reconciliations/review.
  7. Ensure the reconciliation of the Fixed Asset Register by performing asset creations, transfers, and asset changes on the system.
  8. Work with the Head of Finance and other business areas to drive process efficiency.
  9. Support with the implementation of a new ERP system.
  10. Support with budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
  11. Support with the annual audit.

Key requirements of the Management Accountant

  1. Strong technical accountancy knowledge.
  2. Audit and accounts preparation or review experience.
  3. Accounting Qualifications (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA).
  4. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel.
  5. Financial systems knowledge.
  6. Strong communication skills.
  7. Strong planning and time management skills.
  8. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  9. Motivated and improvement-focused.
