Role: Indirect Tax Consultant

Location: Dublin (hybrid)

We're looking for ambitious, detail-driven individuals to join our vibrant team as Indirect Tax Consultants. Whether you're passionate about VAT compliance, cross-border transactions, or advising digital-first businesses, this is your chance to make a real difference in a fast-paced, global environment.

Indirect Tax Consultant, the role:

  • Deliver high-quality VAT consultancy and business advice to a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Prepare and file European VAT returns with precision and timeliness.
  • Advise clients on VAT liabilities, payments, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Liaise with tax authorities and support clients during audits and investigations.
  • Stay ahead of VAT legislation and contribute to process improvements.
  • Represent AVASK at events and webinars, and help onboard and mentor new team members.

Indirect Tax Consultant, the person:

Must-Haves:

  • 2+ years of Irish VAT and Customs experience (qualified or partly qualified in law, accountancy, or finance would be advantage).
  • Strong communication skills—confident in email, phone, and face-to-face interactions, clear message delivering skills.
  • Organised, deadline-driven, and a natural multitasker.
  • Team player with a proactive mindset.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience or interest in international e-commerce and digital platforms.
  • Fluency in German or French would be an advantage
