ProSource Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer on behalf of a progressive, award-winning consulting engineering firm to join its growing team. With a strong track record in low-energy, high-performance building design, this firm is recognised as a leader in BIM adoption and sustainable engineering solutions.

As a Senior Engineer, you'll lead mechanical design delivery on projects across diverse sectors, mentor junior engineers, and play a key role in delivering innovative and sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage full mechanical design packages for projects of all sizes
  • Ensure quality control and consistency across mechanical engineering deliverables
  • Manage project budgets, cost control, and client expectations
  • Supervise and mentor engineers, fostering technical excellence and collaboration
  • Represent the business at client meetings, site surveys, and project reviews
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Irish and international offices
  • Provide technical leadership in water services, HVAC, heating/LTHW, fuel, drainage, and BMS systems
  • Stay up to date with Irish Building Regulations and ensure compliance in all designs
Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in building services consultancy design
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and design delivery across project lifecycles
  • Familiar with thermal modelling, dynamic energy modelling, and energy assessments (advantageous)
  • BIM and commercial project experience a strong plus
  • Chartered Engineer (preferred) or actively pursuing chartership
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Commercial awareness and client-facing ability
