About Renegade

Renegade FC is more than a football club - we are a movement. Founded with a mission to create a player-first club that develops talent for the national stage, we are committed to empowering players and staff, engaging the Renegade community and redefining what it means to be a modern sporting institution, through maximising the potential for every person within our ecosystem.

At Renegade, we believe in putting people first, which means prioritising the development pathways and experiences of everyone attached to the club - players, coaches, staff and supporters alike. Our goal is to help individuals maximise their potential both on and off the pitch. Guided by our core values of humility, discipline, bravery and unity, we demand excellence while ensuring that every interaction with Renegade provides an unforgettable experience. We aim to inspire those who join us to strive for greatness while fostering a culture of respect, resilience and togetherness.

We are expanding our football operations to Dublin where we will be establishing a football club. As we embark on this journey, we are seeking a passionate individual to join us as Chief of Football Operations, a volunteer position ideal for someone to shape, mould and grow a football club and who shares our vision of creating something extraordinary.

Role Overview:

The Chief of Football Operations will act as the principal administrator for Renegade FC, overseeing all football-related activities and operations while ensuring alignment with Renegade's values and goals. This role is highly flexible and is best suited to an individual with deep connections to Irish football and who wants to take an active leadership role in building a player-first club that integrates seamlessly into Renegade's wider mission.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Collaborate with Renegade FC leadership team and wider Renegade ecosystem to implement club's strategic vision.
  • Ensure that the formation and growth of Renegade Dublin FC aligns with Renegade's overarching philosophy.
  • Represent Renegade at official events.

Football Operations:

  • Oversee player recruitment and registration, transfers and contracts in compliance with league regulations.
  • Oversee facility scheduling and sourcing for training and games.
  • Liaise with match officials, visiting clubs, league authorities, governing bodies and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

Club Administration and Community Engagement:

  • Maintain accurate records of player registrations, contracts, fixtures, results and correspondence.
  • Organise key meetings and ensure accurate minutes.
  • Oversee compliance with safeguarding policies, insurance requirements, GDPR regulations and other legal obligations.
  • Build relationships with local clubs, schools, community organisations and grassroots programs to promote football development in Dublin.
  • Assist in relationship building with local businesses and other revenue generation activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of Irish football, structures, regulations and grassroots development pathways.
  • Strong network within the Irish football community.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Solutions oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passionate about developing players and growing a football club from the ground up.

Commitment:

There is a great deal of flexibility in the role with the capacity for the right person to make it entirely their own. This is a volunteer position approximately 10 hours a week with some evening or weekend availability necessary for meetings or match-related responsibilities. The intention is for the role to scale as the club grows.

Why Join Us:

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the foundation and identity of the club. You will have the opportunity to shape innovative player-first policies and help shape the Renegade Player Development Methodology, contribute meaningfully to Irish football's growth and to build lasting relationships within Irish football while creating pathways for players' success both locally and internationally. If you are passionate about football and ready to make an impact within an ambitious organisation, we invite you to join us on this exciting journey.
